The mill was completed in 1903. At first the mill had only three or four paper machines, each of large capacities. The current (2013) owners acquired the property in May of 2011 from Fraser Papers via investment funds. Today, the mill is run under the name "Gorham Paper and Tissue" and is the last historic paper mill in Coos County. .
